T-Mobile Is The Best Way To Stay Connected When Traveling: Here’s Why

There are many different ways to stay connected abroad, whether it’s through connecting to local WiFi or buying a SIM card or signing up for an international data plan. Especially for solo travelers, it can be crucial to stay connected while frolicking in foreign spots. With travel at an all-time high, most international consumers now use a whopping 60 times more data overseas than before. Did you know that T-Mobile customers have unlimited international data connection in over 210+ countries around the globe? Launching their next “Un-Carrier” move, here’s why I believe T-Mobile is, by far, the best way to stay connected when traveling.

Traveling Abroad: SIM Card or T-Mobile?

Some travelers are against using SIM cards, and I can understand why. Purchasing a new SIM Card requires removing your old one (which is your phone number, by the way), and inserting a new one. Fingers crossed you don’t lose that microscopic original SIM, otherwise, you better be prepared to change your number. Not only that, but SIM cards cost money, and can be really confusing on how much data you can actually use (like in India, when I paid $28 for a SIM Card for 1 week and went over the limit/paid more every. single. day.).

With T-Mobile, free high-speed data is available in 210+ countries and destinations. Say goodbye to the sketchy airport SIM cards, keep your old phone number, and call mom & dad to let them know you’re safe (while sipping Prosecco in Italy).

Traveling By Plane: T-Mobile Helps You Stay Connected On Flights

Ugh, those dreaded cross-country 5+ hour flights. They can be incredibly boring, without proper access to mindlessly scrolling the ‘gram or obsessively reloading our email. With T-Mobile, there’s free in-flight connectivity and streaming all flight long on the biggest U.S. airlines, including United, Delta, American, and Alaska Airlines. Binge the latest episodes of The White Lotus on HBOMax or Wednesday on Netflix, all while high in the sky.

Traveling By Car: T-Mobile’s Got You Covered

Still not ready to travel internationally? Does a USA road-trip sound like a safer bet? Well, increase all chances of safety with T-Mobile. T-Mobile customers can get a FREE year of AAA Classic or Basic membership, which includes 24-hour roadside assistance, whether it’s towing, flat tire service, battery service and more. Take this from me: one time, I was on a road-trip with my dog, Bowie, and I got a flat-tired on a Sunday in Oklahoma. Fun fact: Oklahoma is in the Bible Belt, and NOTHING was open. My saving grace was my AAA membership!

Believe it or not, your cell phone carrier can actually guarantee you some pretty sweet deals when it comes to hotel stays. T-Mobile Travel has partnered with with Priceline to hook up customers with exclusive deals, up to 40% off select hotels and rental cars.

Traveling In Style: The New “Un-Carrier” On

T-Mobile was gracious enough to send me a very on-brand pink carry-on, as well as an AirTag and a T-Mobile branded power-bank. Did you know in the first half of 2022, nearly 1.5 million bags were lost or damaged on airlines? This is why I simply refuse to check a bag if I have any control over it, and with this super cute pink “un-carrier” on from T-Mobile, I can do so in style.
