How To Walk Across The Entire Country of Liechtenstein

Could you imagine walking across an entire country from border to border? While I've seen ambitious feats of people doing things like this in the past (take Torbjorn Pedersen who recently traveled to every country in the world without taking a single flight), I never envisioned myself as someone doing anything remotely similar. Call me…

Eating My Way Through Lyon: Anthony Bourdain-Style

I have often been led through far corners of the world by the late and great Anthony Bourdain. It’s how I found the crispiest lechon in the Philippines, how I ended up with a stranger turned friend drinking clear whiskey in northern Thailand, how I celebrated my birthday in NYC over mutton at Keen’s Steakhouse.…

Essential Eats in Marseille, France

Marseille is a victim of bad reputation. It's frequently painted as unsafe, and unfortunately, many travelers fall for it. Turns out, the joke is on those who don't choose to visit, because Marseille is fascinating due to its geographical proximity as a port city. The food here knows no bounds much thanks to the large…

Travel Horror Story: A Woman Tried to Pickpocket Me in Monaco

I think a woman tried to pickpocket me in Monaco. I visited Monaco on a day trip from Bordighera, Italy, and unfortunately, because there's no luggage storage in the country, I was left to walk around with all of my belongings. My belongings in this instance included one roller suitcase, two backpacks, and a fanny…

How to Take a Day-Trip to Monaco (& stay on a Budget)

I'm always pining to see how I can visit typically expensive destinations on a budget. I've taken my stab at Mo'orea and Iceland on this feat, and I have found while expensive destinations are usually just that (expensive), cutting costs creatively is always an option. But... what about Monaco? The notorious playground of a country…

The Best Beach Town You’ve Never Heard Of: Bordighera, Italy

Summer in Europe is not for the faint of heart. Generally, it's expensive, it's crowded, and some destinations are too packed for their own good. If you're braving Europe in the summer and you want a beach destination, you've likely looked at Nice, Monaco, Cinque Terre, Amalfi Coast, maybe even Portofino. All of them are…

How To Visit San Marino From Italy

Getting to San Marino from Italy is not difficult by any means, but I couldn’t find a clear-cut guide online on how to do it, so I decided to make one. I suppose you're in the same position I was in, so, welcome to the official guide on how to get to San Marino from…

What To Eat in Modena, Italy (And Where To Go)

Italy is well known as being an exciting culinary destination, but there's one city that ranks well above the rest when it comes to perfecting Italian cuisine. Modena in Emilia Romagna (which is known as Italy's food valley) is easily one of the country's most prominent food cities, and luckily for hungry travelers, it can…

One-Day Itinerary For Modena, Italy

You've probably heard of Modena from the famed Netflix series, "Chef's Table," with the very first episode featuring Osteria Francescana by Massimo Bottura. While Osteria Francescana is a great highlight of the city, there's so much more to to it. Best of all, Modena can easily be seen in just a day, especially if you…
