Traveling On One Of Italy’s First “Covid-Tested” Flights

DISCLAIMER: This was my personal experience flying during Covid-19. You should always check travel restrictions based on your location, as rules often change by the day. I was mindlessly scrolling on my phone on May 14th, 2021, when I finally saw the words I’ve been waiting over a year to hear: “Italy is Officially Reopening…

Day Trip to Hoi An: A UNESCO World Heritage Town

Checking out Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage Town, while in Vietnam was right at the top of my bucket-list. I was on a bit of a time crunch, so I decided to only make a day trip out of it. The commute from Da Nang to Hoi An was a quick 45-minute bus ride…

Da Nang: Vietnam’s Hippest Beach Town

While it appears Vietnam is a small country, it covers a great amount of length along the coast giving it quite a diverse ecosystem. In the North, be expected to see what you probably imagine China looks like (rice terraces, a lot of green, smoggy, humid), verses the south is a bit more tropical (think…

Why a Layover Didn’t do Hong Kong Justice

I love the travel hack of getting my feet wet in a place from an extended layover (So far I have seen Oslo, Dubai, Stockholm, and Singapore this way), so when I saw a flight to Seoul with a 20-hour layover in Hong Kong, I didn't hesitate to book. My only issue with the flight was…

Two Days in Siem Reap

Of course, most people come to Cambodia to tick off a major bucketlist item: Angkor Wat! And while I usually like to dive into places and go much deeper than the obvious "to-see" spots, I had anxiety over a passport with dwindling pages and had to get to Japan for an embassy appointment to get…

Hanoi: Southeast Asia’s Most Chaotic City

Vietnam had been calling me. I was in the middle of my second month of my round-the-world trip, and was sad to admit that other than New Zealand, no particular place had really blown me away yet. I was certainly enjoying everywhere I was going, but I wasn't falling in love, per se. I was in Kuala…

36 Hours in Kuala Lumpur

Anyone who even semi-frequents my page knows one of my favorite travel hacks is spending a day or two in a city / country to see how many activities I can cram in (especially on a layover!). While my flight to Kuala Lumpur was not a layover, when I arrived to the Philippines, they had…
